Position Overview: The Member Relations Manager will play a pivotal role in managing NAPT’s membership program, supporting our committees, engaging with members, and facilitating the use of our member resource page powered by Higher Logic. This position involves coordinating with the public relations team to manage social media, managing our patient advocate community, supporting our strategic initiatives and board strategies, and enhancing member satisfaction and involvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in member relations, program management, and online community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Membership Program Management:
  • Manage and oversee the membership program, including recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the value of membership and improve member satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate membership records and ensure timely communication with members.
  • Member Support:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for member inquiries, providing excellent customer service and support.
    • Develop and disseminate resources, newsletters, and updates to keep members informed and engaged.
    • Conduct surveys and gather feedback to identify member needs and improve services.
  • Committee Support:
    • Support NAPT’s committees by coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting minutes.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration among committee members to achieve strategic goals.
    • Provide administrative and logistical support to ensure the efficient functioning of committees.
  • Member Resource Page Engagement:
    • Manage and update the member resource page powered by Higher Logic, ensuring it is a valuable and user-friendly platform.
    • Engage with members through the resource page, encouraging participation and fostering a sense of community.
    • Monitor and analyze member interactions to identify opportunities for improvement and increased engagement.
  • Communications Coordination:
    • Coordinate with the public relations team to manage social media channels, ensuring consistent and effective communication.
    • Provide social media content to Public Relations consultants, engage members and promote NAPT’s initiatives and events.
    • Monitor metrics to measure engagement and adjust strategies as needed.
    • Develop and manage communications to members, including newsletters, updates, and announcements.
    • Ensure consistent and clear messaging across all member communications platforms.
  • Patient Advocate Community Management:
    • Manage and support NAPT’s patient advocate community, fostering engagement and collaboration.
    • Develop resources and programs to empower patient advocates and amplify their voices.
    • Facilitate communication between patient advocates and NAPT’s leadership to create opportunities for education and outreach to stakeholders and patient advocacy groups.
  • Strategic Initiatives and Board Support:
    • Assist in the implementation of strategic initiatives and board strategies to support NAPT’s mission and goals.
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to align member relations efforts with organizational priorities.
    • Prepare reports and presentations for board meetings, highlighting membership trends and activities.
  • Foundation Board Management:
    • Provide administrative support to the Foundation Board, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and documenting minutes.
    • Ensure effective communication between Foundation Board members and NAPT staff.
    • Assist with Foundation Board governance activities, including compliance with bylaws and regulations.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in member relations, program management, or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of membership programs and online community engagement platforms (experience with Higher Logic preferred).
    • Experience in social media management and public relations coordination.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
    • Proficiency in data management and CRM systems.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Remote position with strong preference for applicants who live in North Florida.
