Oven Reheating Instructions
Prep Time: 5 min | Cook Time: 10-15 min | Clean Time: 2 min |
In my opinion the very best way to reheat your chicken pot pie is in the oven. It’s not the quickest way, but it will get your pot pie to perfect flaky and crispiness. Follow these easy steps:
- Let pot pie rest at room temperature.
- Preheat your oven to 325F.
- Place your pot pie on oven safe baking sheet.
- Cover top fully with aluminum foil.
- Reheat in oven for 10 minutes. Remove and check with food thermometer for minimum temperature of 165F.
- Recover and return to stove for additional 5 min if needed.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!

Of course, lets not forget my friend the air fryer! I use this method more and more lately. The air fryer will give you a pretty quick way to reheat your chicken pot pie without compromising quality. Follow these simple steps below:
- Let pot pie rest at room temperature.
- Preheat air fryer to 380F.
- Place your pot pie in air fry basket.
- Reheat in air fryer for 8 min. Remove and check with food thermometer for minimum temperature of 165F.
- Return to air fryer to additional few minutes if needed.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!

Stovetop Reheating Instructions
Prep Time: 3 min | Cook Time: 5-10 min | Clean Time: 2 min |
This method works best with smaller pot pies, or you can cut your large leftover pies into pieces. Keep careful watch during reheating, as you can burn the pie crust easily if your not paying attention. Follow our easy steps below:
- Heat skillet or fry pan on medium-high heat.
- Place chicken pot pies into pan.
- Heat for 3-5 min being careful not to burn the crust.
- Flip over pot pies and continue heating until minimum temperature of 165F.
- Remove from heat, serve immediately and enjoy!

I can’t overlook the easiest way to reheat your pot pies; the microwave. You will sacrifice quality and texture for speed and convenience. As always, it’s the most-used kitchen appliance so here is my best method using a microwave. Follow these steps to reheat your pot pie quickly in the microwave:
- Place your chicken pot pie on microwave safe dish.
- Fill microwave safe cup with 1/2 cup water.
- Place both dishes in the microwave.
- Heat on high for 1 min and check. Some microwaves heat very quickly.
- Heat until desired temperature.
- Remove and enjoy!
